AIRBASE SCENERY INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

These Installation instructions assume that you have a working knowledge of MS Windows Explorer (including how to create folders and copy/move files.

Note: Use of this scenery requires installation of the trees_v3.zip object library by Gerrish Gray (not included.) Proper installation of the trees_v3 object library can be tricky for some people. Most problems that people have with the Thailand airbase scenery can be traced to improper installation of the trees_v3 object library, particularly failure to place the Trees_0.bgl file in Flight Simulator’s “scenery” folder.

INSTALLING AIRBASE MODEL SCENERY:

The simplest method for installing the airbase scenery is to paste the parent folder (containing Scenery & Texture sub-folders) into your FS2002 ADDON SCENERY folder.

Then, COPY (Do not move) all of the files in the airbase scenery Texture sub-folder to the FS2002 TEXTURE folder.

ACTIVATING SCENERY:

To activate the scenery, start FS2002 & click SETTINGS Scenery Library. Click the Add area button. Browse to the ADDON SCENERY folder & select the parent folder of the scenery you just installed. Click OK. The scenery is now installed & activated.

Note: The Airport code for the Takhli RTAFB scenery is VTPI. The city is Nakhon Sawan.

TROUBLESHOOTING:

If there's a conflict or some other problem, imported scenery can easily be deactivated or deleted from the Scenery Library. To deactivate an area, uncheck the box next to it on the list. To permanently remove an area, select it from the list & click Delete area. (You should do this before moving or deleting the folder from your scenery directory.)
